Hopewell Health Centers specialty pharmacy services facilitate patient access to affordable medications to treat their condition.

• Hepatitis C treatment can cure the infection in most patients. Treatment typically involves 8 to 12 weeks of daily medication, and it is critical to take these medications consistently for the best results. After treatment is completed, a lab test is needed to ensure the virus is no longer detected in the bloodstream.
• HIV can be treated with daily medications. There is no cure for HIV, but medications control the disease and prevent disease progression. Lab tests are needed periodically to monitor the disease.
• PrEP options to reduce HIV infection include oral and injectable medications to meet each patient’s needs. Lab tests are needed periodically to ensure a patient does not develop HIV.
